Visualhouse is an international creative agency focused on creating compelling brand stories for architecture, design, and the built environment. We work worldwide with leading architects, developers, and designers on landmark projects. Each project is unique, and to each, we bring passion and expertise with our multidisciplinary creative teams skilled in 3D visualization, still imagery, film, and animation, as well as branding and interactive. Together, these disciplines form a cohesive and creative vision to produce compelling brand narratives for our clients. We have studios in New York, London, and Los Angeles.

We are currently looking for an Account Manager to join our growing creative team to produce exceptionally high-quality branding and marketing materials, working on both client and internal projects. This is a hybrid role, based out of our New York studio 3 days per week.

About the role:

This position is based in New York and will work closely with the CEO and the Creative Director. They will be the lead on accounts and projects, serving as a trusted strategist and expert voice for clients. This individual will serve as a mentor, manager, and lead example for all account teams on client management, results, staff development and strategic guidance. The candidate will also be heavily involved in new business. This role will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed client expectations. This position requires a blend of creativity, organisational skills, and a deep passion for design and real estate.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-obsessed, comfortable with taking initiative to ensure processes unfold as planned. The ideal candidate is also passionate about the work we do, and the growth of the business overall.

Proficiency in Google Workspace, Keynote, Pitch, and spreadsheets is required. Successful candidates will have an interest in design (or at least be interested in learning about the field). Some background in budgeting, spreadsheets and contracts is required. Must have previous agency or real estate experience.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management

• You will inspire agency partnership and client confidence and seek opportunities to advance the client relationship whenever possible

• Proactively build and implement strategy for clientsNurture and strengthen long-term client relationships while developing new ones

• Act as the initial and go-to point of contact for clients

• Ability to anticipate project and/or client needs to always be one step ahead of daily needs

• Coordinate new project scopes and briefs between clients, the design team, the production team and our third-party partners

• Lead, grow and oversee all account operations as they relate to the business of the agency

New Business Development:

• Proactively seek out and propose new business ideas, creating proposals and pitching

• Lead in responding to client RFPs and co-author proposals.

• Evaluate and understand client business objectives and craft strategies and scopes of work that reflect those business objectives

• Pull and collaborate with different divisions across the agency and office to ensure the client is getting access to the agency's network-wide expertise

• Conduct research for new business calls and projects as well as lead new client intake calls

• Identify client issues and work with our agency partners to provide solutions

• Provide honest and valuable counsel to agency team

• You will effectively collaborate with agency partners

Strategic and Financial  Involvement:

• Contribute to financial targets and new business growth plans

• Assist in operational growth strategies and process optimization

• Organize scopes and new project budgets recommending the best structures for client needs

• Serve as a resource for the client on financial decision-making and planning

• Oversee all billing activities for the team and coordinate with VH’s finance department as needed 

Project and Team Management:

• Efficiently organize and communicate project schedules

• Manage resources, including external partners like strategists and photographers

• Support the partner and design team with all administrative needs, including daily correspondence, scheduling of calls, meeting set-up, travel, and logistics planning

Technical Skills:

• Technical proficiency in Keynote, Excel, Google Slides, Word, and willingness

• Excellent skills in Google Workspace including slides, spreadsheets

• Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud or Figma a bonus

• Proficiency in English; additional languages a bonus

Skills and Qualifications:

• A passion for design and creativity. An interest in architecture and the built environment.

• Familiarity with the luxury market and clientele

• Ability to be very nimble and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Team player with a can-do attitude and fast learning capabilities

• 8+ years in agency or real estate roles, with experience in account management, project management or client services

• Proven experience in project management, preferably in a design or creative environment

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Strong negotiation and client management abilities

• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with a problem-solving mindset

• Ability to interact with different seniority levels in a multi-cultural, international organization

• High flexibility: ability to deliver quality at a detailed level while keeping strategic perspective

• High standard of ethics, integrity and confidentiality

Prior agency experience is preferred
