The Miami real estate market has been experiencing a remarkable resurgence in recent years, solidifying its status as one of the most dynamic and sought-after destinations for property investment and development. From sleek high-rise condominiums to sprawling mixed-use communities, the city’s skyline is continually evolving, reflecting a blend of luxury, innovation, and urban vibrancy.  Let’s take a closer look at some of the top real estate developments to keep an eye on in 2024:

Waldorf Astoria

Finally breaking ground earlier this year after facing delays, the Waldorf Astoria is set to redefine Miami’s skyline. Standing as the tallest building in Miami and the tallest south of New York in the U.S., this architectural marvel features a stunning design with nine cubes spanning 100 stories and reaching 1,049 feet. With Property Markets Group, Greybrook Realty Partners, and S2 Development at the helm, along with lead architect Carlos Ott, this project promises to be a beacon of luxury and innovation in the heart of downtown Miami.

Mercedes-Benz Places

Representing a fusion of automotive elegance and architectural brilliance, Mercedes-Benz Places is a pioneering residential project by JDS Development Group. Teaming up with the acclaimed ShoP Architects and Woods Bagot for interiors, this 67-story tower stands 773 feet tall and offers a unique blend of luxury condominiums, office spaces, and world-class amenities. With a focus on wellness and lifestyle, including a park by Field Operations, Mercedes-Benz Places sets a new standard for sophisticated urban living.

Mandarin Oriental

Swire Properties recently launched the sales for a new development, The Residences at Mandarin Oriental on Brickell Key in Miami. The project boasts two new iconic towers connected by an expansive landscaped podium with more than 80,000 sq ft. of indoor and outdoor amenities. The 66-story South Tower will be home to The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, while the North Tower will be the new North American Flagship Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Both towers are designed by world renowned architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) and landscaping will be by Thai firm SHMA. Construction is expected to begin in 2025 and expected completion is by 2029.

Aston Martin

Embodying the epitome of luxury and performance, Aston Martin’s residential tower adds a touch of British elegance to Miami’s skyline. Designed in collaboration with Rodolfo Miani of Bodas Mian Anger (BMA), this 66-storey marvel offers bespoke interiors and unparalleled craftsmanship. With 99% of the condominiums already sold, Aston Martin Residences redefine the notion of exclusivity and sophistication.

Miami Worldcenter

As Miami’s largest new development project, Miami Worldcenter is a city within a city. The project spans across 27 acres and 10 blocks in downtown Miami, making it the second largest of its kind still underway in the United States – only New York’s Hudson Yards covers more ground. The master-planned community integrates residential, retail, office, and mixed-use spaces. With over 90% of its retail space already leased, Worldcenter promises to invigorate downtown Miami with vibrant energy and unparalleled amenities. If all goes according to plan the $6 billion project’s retail space should be open before the end of 2024.

In addition to these developments, other notable projects like District 11, Pagani Residences, and Ora by Casa Tua, underscore Miami’s status as a global hub for luxury real estate and innovative urban planning. As these projects continue to evolve, they will shape the future of Miami's real estate, skyline and lifestyle for years to come.
